Doctors’ Mental Health at Tipping Point

There are concerns that some medical professionals in England are unable to get the help they need. Figures from the Office for National Statistics, covering England, showed that between 2011 and 2015, 430 health professionals took their own lives. Doctors are at an incredibly high risk for mental illness. Female doctors have up to four times the risk of suicide in comparison to people in the [general] population.
