IFG vs. CBG in Patients with Multiple Organ Failure Requiring Vasopressor Infusion
papers.ssrn.comInterstitial flash glucose (IFG) does not demonstrate either analytical or clinical accuracy to be considered equivalent to capillary blood glucose (CBG) in patients with multiple organ failure who require vasopressor infusion.
This cross-sectional study included 394 pairs of CBG and IFG determinations corresponding to 11 ICU admitted patients.
All patients had multiple organ failure (MOF) and required IV vasopressor infusion.
We tested IFG accuracy against CGB using the Bland-Altman method and by the calculation of the median absolute relative difference (MARD).
We assessed clinical accuracy with the Clarke consensus error grid (CEG).
