Formulas: Resuscitation formulas are still used to predict initial fluid needs but are giving way to more individualized fluid titration.
Adjunctive Therapies: Immediate application of an appropriate dressing is important to reduce fluid loss, and early wound debridement and grafting are promoted to improve wound healing, reduce sepsis risk, and decrease mortality.
Call for Research: Despite these advancements, robust evidence is lacking, and further research is essential to establish best practices.
