A lot remains to be learned about the long-term effects of patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) who survive COVID-19 infections. Clinicians need to better understand and recognize the effects of post-COVID 19 lung fibrosis on patients with ILD in order to develop strategies for effective management of these patients.

This activity is intended for pulmonologists, internists, primary care providers, and other health care providers who manage patients with ILD and/or COVID-19.

Upon completion of this course, the participants should be able to:

  • Compare risk factors for, and pathophysiologic features, of ILD and post-COVID-19 lung fibrosis
  • Develop strategies for effective management of patients with PF-ILD who contract and survive COVID-19 infections
  • Evaluate Post-COVID-19 patients for fibrotic changes in the lungs after recovery
